YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation headed by Thierry Ribaux, head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Armenia, ARMENPRESS was informed from the office of the President of the Republic of Armenia

"We have always highly valued our cooperation. Now we value it even more, considering that you are represented both in Yerevan and Stepanakert," said President Khachaturyan, welcoming the guests.

The President highly appreciated the ICRC's efforts aimed at establishing contact between the persons still detained in Azerbaijan and their relatives, as well as obtaining information about their health.

Thierry Ribaux thanked the president for the reception and welcomed the support and willingness shown by the representatives of the state bodies to the activities of the Red Cross.

During the meeting, reference was made to the issue of the persons who are kept in prison in the Azerbaijani side and those who went missing as a result of the 44-day war and the Azerbaijani aggression that took place after it.

Both sides emphasized that humanitarian issues should not become the subject of political speculation.
