PM Pashinyan meets former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday met with the former Italian Prime Minister, former President of the European Commission Romano Prodi.

Prodi is currently visiting Armenia and was recently awarded an honorary doctorate degree by the Yerevan State University.

PM Pashinyan congratulated Prodi on receiving the high-level academic recognition and welcomed his visit to Armenia.

“Nikol Pashinyan underscored the need for Yerevan State University’s cooperation with experienced figures like Romano Prodi and added that today’s meeting will give the opportunity to discuss various issues of mutual interest,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout.

Romano Prodi thanked for the warm hospitality and said that he’s happy to visit Armenia.

Pashinyan and Prodi exchanged views on a number of issues related to the ongoing processes in the region and the international arena.
