YEREVAN, APRIL 11, ARMENPRESS.  The fact of recognizing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is necessary for the Armenian authorities to recognize the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his speech at the Parliament, addressing the opposition's accusations regarding the Armenian Government's recognition of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

"We have actually recognized the territorial integrity of Armenia,'' the PM said.

''The recognition of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity is necessary for us to recognize the territorial integrity of Armenia, as Armenia's territorial integrity is surrounded by Azerbaijan. If we do not recognize the territorial integrity of Turkey, Iran, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, we do not acknowledge the territorial integrity of Armenia, as historically, Armenia, is the country surrounded by these countries.

If we do not recognize their territorial integrity, we do not acknowledge the existence of our country. We succumbed to this temptation, and it is through this temptation that we have ourselves destroyed the sovereignty of our country with our own hands," said Pashinyan, adding that it is not a political, but a socio-psychological issue.

 Addressing the accusations of the opposition, Pashinyan assured that no one loves historical Armenia more than him. But he refuses to love historical Armenia more than present-day Armenia.
