YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. The events of the Aurora humanitarian initiative will be held for around 1 month – from April 24 to May 28 – instead of the previously held 3-4 day format, CEO of the Aurora humanitarian initiative Arman Jilavian said.

“That’s of course a difficult decision for us, because the work increases around 10 times, however we see a very important symbol. In this, we see a path from death to life, from despair to hope, from murder and hell to victory. That’s the meaning of Aurora. The surviving fragments of the Armenian people – who were attempted to be erased from the world – created the first Armenian Republic years later. We must be able to connect the energy of those two days to one another, and present to the world”, he said.

According to Arman Jilavyan, the expectations from the first “Aurora” were more than justified.

“Of course, despite having great hopes and expectations, being optimistic – we didn’t even expect the program to be received so warmly and positively by all parts of society, professional humanitarian organizations and the entire world. We will present a research until the end of 2016: we carried out surveys in 17 countries to find out to what extent were people aware about the prize, how they perceive Armenia and the Armenian people. I have to say the indicators are very good. About 4-5% had heard about Aurora, which is a very big number for an award which was held for the first time”, he said, emphasizing it is this response which lead to the expansion of the events.
