YEREVAN, MARCH 27, ARMENPRESS. The economic activity rate of Artsakh Republic in January, 2017 increased by 15.5% compared to January, 2016, according to the data of the National Statistical Service of Artsakh, reports “Armenpress”.

In January, compared to the previous month, the economic activity rate decreased by 42.9%.

In January-December, 2016, Artsakh’s GDP at market prices comprised 229 billion 651.6 million AMD. It increased by 9.2% compared to January-December, 2015.

The industrial production volume in GDP comprised 58 billion 999.5 million AMD in January-December, 2016, which is an increase of 9.7% compared to January-December, 2015. Trade turnover volume comprised 99 billion 559 million AMD, which has dropped by 12.6%. The services volume increased by 3.7%, comprising 53 billion 946.8 million USD.

Gross agricultural product comprised 68 billion 467.6 million AMD, increasing by 7.4%. Construction volume decreased by 9%, amounting to 45 billion 655.8 million AMD. External trade turnover was 337 million 965.5 thousand USD which is an increase of 7.4% compared to January-December, 2015. Moreover, the export increased by 30.6%, comprising 81 million 106.3 thousand USD. Goods of 256 million 859.2 thousand USD was imported to the Artsakh Republic which is an increase of 1.1% compared to January-December, 2015.

Average monthly salary comprised 152 thousand 707 AMD which increased by 1.1% compared to previous year.

Consumer price index in January-December 2016 dropped by 1.5% compared to same period of the previous year.

Monetary revenues of the Artsakh people in January-December 2016 amounted to 161 billion 631 million AMD, increasing by 3.6%. The people’s monetary expenses comprised 155 billion 649.4 million AMD, increasing by 3.3%.
