Number of foreigners visiting Turkey decreases by 29%
17:35, 16 May 2017YEREVAN, MAY 16, ARMENPRESS. The number of foreigners visiting Turkey has been significantly decreased in 2016 due to constant terror attacks, failed military coup attempt and internal unstable situation in the country, HaberTurk reports.
According to the data by the Ministry of the Interior, in 2016 the number of foreigners visited Turkey decreased by 29%, amounting 24 million 686 thousand 471 people.
Mostly the citizens of Germany, Georgia, Bulgaria, Iran and UK visited Turkey.
18 thousand 294 people were banned to enter Turkey for various reasons.
