Heads of BSEC states sign declaration of Istanbul summit

YEREVAN, MAY 22, ARMENPRESS. Heads of member states of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) expressed readiness to contribute to fighting against terrorism and strengthening the economic partnership, RIA Novosti reports.

As stated in the BSEC summit’s declaration which was adopted on May 22 as a result of the meeting of the heads of states and governments in Istanbul, the summit participants supported fight against all forms of terrorism, regardless of their sources, causes and objectives.

“We will continue demonstrating a common international solidarity and will contribute to fighting against terrorism”, the document reads.

The heads of states and governments highlighted the importance to develop cooperation in the fields of agriculture, agro-industry, banking and financial sectors, fight against organized crime, customs issues, education, emergency aid, energy, protection of environment, healthcare, IT, institutional innovation and respective management, science and technologies, tourism, culture, trade-economic cooperation and transportation.

The summit participants believe that “the effective implementation of concrete joint programs in transportation infrastructure field will contribute to increasing investments in sub-regional trade, tourism and transportation fields”.
