PM Pashinyan receives IMF Armenia mission chief

YEREVAN, MARCH 14, ARMENPRESS.  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Iva Petrova, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Armenia.

According to the readout issued by the office of the Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the importance of cooperation with the IMF in favor of the development of the economy and maintenance of stability in the country.
According to the source, the parties discussed the reforms in the direction of improving the fiscal and monetary policies, the financial sector and investment climate in Armenia.

 The positive macroeconomic indicators recorded in Armenia for the year 2023 were emphasized, and the continuity of reforms was stressed to maintain economic activity in the country. The Prime Minister emphasized that maintaining macroeconomic stability is an absolute priority for the Armenian government, and steps and reforms in that regard will be consistent.

The parties addressed the humanitarian issues concerning Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and discussed steps to resolve these issues.
